Feel like rescuing some of your old plush toys? It’s relatively easy to refill a soft toy, however all of them will very slightly. Here’s a guide on what you need to do, For this example, we’ll be making reference to a teddy bear.
Using Crumb Foam For Toy Stuffing
In order to refill a teddy bear, you’re going to need a pair of scissors, some thread, a needle and of course your toy stuffing. Simply make an incision using your scissors into the back of the teddy bear (don’t worry it won’t hurt). Your incision should be approximately 3 inches in length along the major back seam of your teddy bear. This of course will vary depending on the teddy bears size. You could also use a seam ripper in order to do this, so as to to open a pre-existing seam.
Once you have made the incision, remove all of the present toy stuffing. This could be a good time to also wash the teddy bear, using soap and water. If you do decide to do this, make sure to hang the teddy bear up to dry. Once the fabric is dry, take your toy stuffing and evenly refill your teddy bear. After that, all you need to do is evenly and neatly re-stitch your teddy bear.
And there you have it, a brand new teddy bear! All thanks to a little effort and some high quality toy stuffing from GB Foam Direct.
